I’m Kelci Tillman,

an artist and writer living in Baltimore, MD. I studied Graphic Design at Academy of Art University from 2012-2015, but realized that I wanted to explore different mediums and the freedom of not being behind a computer. I graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree and began freelancing and honing in on more illustrative work. Since then, I have explored drawing, painting, and writing as my main mediums. I debuted my first paintings at a solo show, Freakbanana, at Wet City Brewing during Artscape in 2019. I was then featured in a trio show at Farley Art Gallery, which included installation art in 2019. I was selected for The Creative Alliance's art subscription boxes during the Pandemic in 2020. I completed an illustration commission for The Washington Post in 2021, and I had a painting selected for a group show entitled, Laid Bare at Gormley Gallery at Notre Dame of Maryland University in 2022. In addition to participating in shows, I have completed many personal commissions for folks in Baltimore and beyond. I find the most inspiration from the women surrealists of the 20th century. I look for magic in the everyday and think everyone can access it with open eyes.
